Sex and the City Star to Host, Sting to Perform at One Night Live

Chris Noth, known for his role as Mr. Big in Sex and the City, has signed on to host the second annual One Night Live concert in support of the Sunnybrook Foundation. Performers for the May 21 event—being produced once again by S.L. Feldman & Associates and taking place at the Air Canada Centre—will include Sting, Sheryl Crow, and the Canadian Tenors.

Organizers are offering three ticket packages for this year's benefit show. V.I.P. and gold tickets include a dinner prepared by chef Mark McEwan (North 44, Bymark, One) and a performance by the Canadian Tenors at the Fermenting Cellar in the Distillery District—V.I.P. guests also get in-seat cocktail service during the show. A preconcert cocktail party is being planned for silver ticketholders at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel.

"Peter Sommers of Contemporary Furniture Rentals is doing all of the decor [at the Fermenting Cellar]. It's going to be very upscale," Jamie Lamont, managing partner of One to One Communications, said in an interview. Lamont said the concept for the silver reception at the Westin is still being determined. "It's going to have that same party atmosphere," he said in reference to last year's event at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

In 2008, 700 concertgoers attended a preshow reception at the Front Street hotel, where FOS Decor created a series of suites inspired by the concert riders for artists like Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones. The hospital foundation also hosted a private dinner for 250 guests at the ACC's Platinum Club prior to the show. More than 12,000 people attended the concert.
