Chrome Event Furnishing is a contemporary event furniture rental company in Miami, owned by Henrique Saldanha, a former event manager at Shiraz Events. The modern-leaning collection currently offers about 20 different items, including mirrored highboys, sleek LED-lit bars, and brass coffee tables (and yes, each item has a touch of chrome detailing).
Saldanha designed the line using insights and feedback from event industry pros—for example, instead of the standard 18-inch-tall lounge chairs, Chrome’s are 20 inches, to make it easier for guests to sit down and get up with grace, and bars feature black interiors to hide scuffs and wheels for easier transport. The company also offers custom upholstery and branding options.
Saldanha’s background as a graphic designer and a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef also informs his designs. “My work in the food world and as an event planner helped a lot in designing the food stations to be as functional as possible, and when it comes to designing custom pieces, I have the experience to create illustrations that show the client exactly how it’s going to look,” he says. The company also offers custom fabrication, scenic design, and production services. Since launching in September, Chrome Event Furnishing has worked on events for Infiniti and Gilt Groupe, and it can ship items to cities nationwide.
