Flight Attendants Bring In-Air Props

The flight attendants who put together the Americans Are United fund-raiser brought some accouterments from their in-air job to Metropolitan Pavilion. American Airlines flight attendant Maggie Yawger sold raffle tickets from a drink cart, and other carts lined one of the event's bars. The crowded event marked the six month anniversary of the September 11 attacks and raised money for the Wings Foundation, which raises money for the families of the American Airlines and United Airlines flight attendants who died during the attacks. The fund-raiser included an appearance by Mayor Mike Bloomberg and food from Mark Fahrer Caterers.
