The Park Hyatt Washington reopened in June 2006 following a $24 million renovation and redesign by Tony Chi. Located on the outskirts of Georgeown, the hotel has 215 guest rooms decorated in warm limed oak, gray limestone, and black walnut and complemented by spa-inspired bathrooms. The hotel's 12,000 square feet of Wi-Fi-enabled meeting space includes five boardrooms, an executive boardroom (complete with a circular marble table for 15), and a 4,100-square-foot ballroom that former Democratic Party chair Terry McAuliffe took advantage of in February. Also on-site: Blue Duck Tavern, a 106-seat modern restaurant that has a semiprivate dining room for 12.
