On September 9, Aramark Harrison Lodging will cut the ribbon on the Desmond Tutu Center, a new conference and event site on the west side of the General Theological Seminary campus in Chelsea. Amidst a beautifully maintained property of historic buildings, the center itself has 19th-century Gothic architectural elements, including a refectory with oak wainscoting, arched doorways, and detailed moldings set in the high, vaulted ceiling. The center will also offer seven meeting spaces and 60 guest rooms. Events will have access to the Close, the enclosed, gardenlike grounds.
