Limelight's Fruit Wallpaper

In Chicago, catering firm Limelight has an innovative format for serving fruit skewers. The fruits are inserted into a custom wall with thematic wallpaper design (which varies for different events). Guests approach the wall and pull of a skewer and can dip the fruit in sauces that are arrayed on a nearby table.

The menu cards at each table featured a photo of a pet submitted by the table purchaser or a sponsor. Each table also featured bedazzled centerpieces inspired by Jeff Koons’ Balloon Dog sculpture.

The University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College’s fourth annual fund-raiser took place October 1 at Daniels Spectrum. Produced and designed by McNabb Roick Events, the gala featured a turf carpet in lieu of a traditional red carpet. A silent auction included dog and cat beds created by Toronto designers.

For those in search of a remote, glamping-style idea for groups, Terra Glamping—a full-service glamping and event production company—recently partnered with the National Park Service to launch a luxury camp pop-up in Fort Tilden. Located on the Rockaway Peninsula in New York, the pop-up offers furnished safari-style tents that accommodate two, with amenities including side tables, decorative rugs, and lanterns. Additional amenities include an outdoor lounge with couches, chairs, and hammocks, and bathroom and shower facilities. The pop-up runs through September 19.

The team of multimedia artists at Drawn Together NYC draw, paint, and digitally sketch event attendees. Corporate clients include the Brooklyn Museum, CBS, Coca-Cola, Chase, Delta, Spotify, and more. The company recently partnered with Inquerio, who conceptualized, designed, and implemented this digital collage activation. The fully customizable communal event experience digitally adds guests’ illustrations into an animated background during an event. The interactive artwork evolves throughout the event and can be projected onto a wall or displayed on a large screen monitor. At the end of the event, the animation can be uploaded as a video that’s shareable with guests.

Looking to provide Diwali-theme ideas, Nuage Designs enlisted Tinsel Experiential Design to design a tablescape in keeping with the holiday. Orange Hemp Flocking linen reminiscent of traditional henna designs was provided by Nuage for the base of the design. A floral runner in bright fuchsia, yellow, red, and orange was strung across the table in keeping with the colorful nature of Indian celebrations. Party Rental Limited's gold florentine plates were topped by Nuage napkins to complete the festive table.
