The annual runway show features top fund-raisers for the humane society who walk the catwalk with their pets. Tysons Galleria is the exclusive apparel sponsor. The event will mark its 10th year in 2016 and once again return to the Grand Hyatt Washington. Its fund-raising goal is $410,000. Next: April 23, 2016
#2 Fashion & Beauty Event
The 400 guests come dressed to impress at the gathering, which fetes the magazine’s choices for the city’s 10 best-dressed residents and promotes its fashion-theme September issue. As a gift, honorees each received faux Washingtonian covers featuring them as the sole cover model. New haute retail hub City Center arranged for its retailers to provide stylish mannequins, and restaurants Mango Tree and Fig & Olive provided drinks and bites. #3 Fashion & Beauty Event
The event, which takes place every year in February and September, features more than 50 labels at shows spread over five venues. Next year the event marks its 12th anniversary and its 24th edition of fashion week. Next: February 24-28, 2016
#4 Fashion & Beauty Event (up from #5)
The shopping center kicked off its seventh annual fashion-theme weekend with a screening of the documentary Dior and I. Other events included a runway show, a book signing from Aliza Licht, and some 35 trunk shows. Next: May 2016
