When the National Conference on Volunteering and Service moved to New York this year, title sponsor Target held an event on Tuesday that had more than 4,000 guests assembling meal kits for the Food Bank for New York City. We chatted with producer Cara Kleinhaut about the concept behind the ambitious project and heard what attendees had to say about rolling up their sleeves and working at a party.
