Watch: New Mobile Venue Immerses Guests in Custom Video Projections

Madrone Studios, which owns a popular production venue in San Francisco with clients such as Microsoft, GoPro, and Dolby, launched Madrone Creative, a full-service production agency specializing in live events and brand activations, digital art, and interactive technologies.

One of the company’s new offerings is its flagship mobile venue, dubbed the Immersion Dome. The 2,000-square-foot flexible space can hold 300 standing or 150 seated and comes with seamless 360-degree video projection. The Madrone team works with clients to create custom-branded video content, which can also include audio reactive projections or a customized interactive mobile app. For example, guests might be able to use the app to upload their own photo and video content to be projected inside the dome. “The idea is to turn what we’ve been doing for clients in the Bay Area into a travel-ready setup that we can create anywhere, in any situation,” says C.E.O. and co-founder Jonathan Rowe.

The Immersion Dome can be shipped worldwide, and while pricing varies depending on the project, costs typically start in six-figure range. The company recommends a lead time of between six weeks and three months, especially when custom video and mobile apps are involved.
