The Tribeca Film Festival hits the city on Wednesday. Here's a selection of new restaurants to check out before or after screenings:

Robert De Niro opened the Greenwich Hotel earlier this month, just in time for the festival he cofounded. And within it is Ago, the New York outpost of Agostino Sciandri's West Hollywood restaurant. Featuring Northern Italian cuisine, the eatery is a couple of blocks from the Tribeca Performing Arts Center and has a cozy feel to it, with exposed-brick walls and wood paneling. Decorating the ceiling of the 90-seat main dining room are more than 90,000 corks.Further south on Duane Street is Duane Park, a contemporary American restaurant from chef Shawn Knight. The venue takes some inspiration from the South with New Orleans-style dishes and a crystal chandelier from a Louisiana plantation. The 65-seater serves brunch on weekends and is kid-friendly.

For more adventurous tastes, head to the Greenwich Grill, which opened three weeks ago with a restaurant on one floor and a sushi bar on another. The restaurant serves a range of cuisines, from Japanese-influenced pasta to sautéed veal, while the lower level’s Sushi Azabu offers a selection of edo-mae-style sushi.
