Drury Hotels has opened its first property in Florida, less than three miles from the Orange County Convention Center. The Drury Inn & Suites opened in July on Sand Lake Road, on the east end of what is commonly called “Restaurant Row.”
The hotel has a 2,180-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate 100 people for a banquet or 154 theater-style. The room has three drop-down screens and an air wall that can divide the space in half. Connected to this room is a smaller meeting room for about 30 people. The hotel provides complimentary Wi-Fi and has audiovisual equipment for rent.
Off the lobby, the hotel has a 150-seat dining room where it provides complimentary hot breakfast each morning and a manager’s reception in the evening. A corner of the room can be roped off for private events for up to 40 people. For groups that want food service in the meeting rooms, the hotel can provide breakfast food or light snacks, or food can be catered from a nearby restaurant.
The hotel has 238 rooms, of which 42 are suites. Every room includes a mini refrigerator and microwave. The property also has a fitness room and pool that is partially under cover.
