On Monday, Michael Ruff , former associate vice president of development at the
Los Angeles County Museum of Art, began his new position as senior director of development at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (Glaad).
In his new role, Ruff will oversee the annual
and help direct 15 community events, such as the Thank Glaad It’s Friday series and the Glaad Summer Series. “I have long been a Glaad supporter but was absolutely inspired by [Glaad president Neil G. Giuliano's] comments at the Media Awards this year,” said Ruff in a press release. “I knew I wanted to be a part of this incredibly important organization.”
