Created as a thank-you gesture to ION’s advertising executive clients, the truck, provided by Lime Media, traveled to eight stops around the city and reached 13 agencies, distributing candy provided by David’s Catering.

The party at the Hyatt Huntington Beach's grand ballroom had a Parisian theme, all done in a black-and-red palette, with a troupe from Zen Arts performing cirque- and burlesque-style numbers.

7. Rob Dyrdek’s Kick Flip at Chevrolet Sonic

The MTV reality show personality and action sports figure Rob Dyrdek successfully performed a kick flip in the new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday. The stunt, a 360-degree rotation in mid-air, is more commonly executed on a skateboard, not a car, and was meant to promote the vehicle and its high safety rating.

The Choral Arts Society of Washington hosted its 31st-annual holiday benefit in Washington Monday night, this year partnering with Russian Federation Ambassador Sergey L. Kislyak. The painting of St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow by Russian artist Simon Kozhin was projected on the walls of the dining space, setting the tone for the evening’s “Holiday Treasures from Russia” theme.

The American Kennel Club/Eukanuba National Championship filled the Orange County Convention Center with nearly 5,000 dogs and 30,000 spectators Saturday and Sunday. In addition to a 7,000-seat arena for the main competition, organizers created several smaller show rings, a bathing area with seven tubs, a section for drying and grooming, and several grassy areas where handlers could walk the dogs.
