M.L.B. FoodFest

In Los Angeles, the M.L.B. FoodFest took place at Magic Box at the Reef April 26 to 28, offering activities such as the "Weiner-totter." The food festival, which offers eats from all 30 major-league ballparks, will also travel to New York and London. MKG produced the event.

Goop Escape

Gwyneth Paltrow hosted the first Goop Escape retreat at Blackberry Mountain resort in the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. Activities included a a mountainside dinner prepared by chef Richard Blais at a rustic long table.

Caulipower Pop-up

The gluten-free Caulipower pizza brand debuted a pop-up in a storefront on New York's Bleecker Street that offered free pizza and activities like a claw machine. Produced by By Reveal, the pop-up included design details such as emoji-like neon signage and plenty of cauliflower plants.

Absolut Bar Recycle

For the launch of Absolut's Planet Earth’s Favorite Vodka campaign—which encourages consumers to practice sustainability—the brand held a private event in New York on April 22 that encouraged attendees to trade in recyclables for cocktails in an environment where recycled materials were used as decor. A step-and-repeat wall displayed a moss replica of the Absolut bottle against a wall of reclaimed wood, which featured the name of the event. TED Conference

The TED conference, which took place April 15 to 19 at the Vancouver Convention Center, revolved around the theme “Bigger Than Us,” which was highlighted by big ideas, discoveries, and insights. Off the stage, sponsor activations delivered thought-provoking experiences, like a five-dome structure created by artist Michael Pinsky that invited guests to experience simulation of air in five different cities: Tautra, Norway, on a winter day; London on a February day; New Delhi, India; Beijing in November; and São Paulo, Brazil. "Not The White House Correspondents Dinner"

The White House Correspondents' Association Dinner took place April 27 at the Washington Hilton, celebrating the First Amendment and the journalists who cover the executive branch of the federal government. Media brands used the weekend to host events of their own, including Full Frontal With Samantha Bee's second edition of the "Not The White House Correspondents Dinner." A prop typewriter, fabricated by Design Foundry, served as a photo activation by Tickled Photo Booth Co. CNN Political Hangover Brunch

CNN hosted a New Orleans-theme brunch with decor such as French Quarter-style wrought iron-like gates draped with Spanish moss and other greenery. The event name was displayed on street signs affixed to posts in the style of the neighborhood's gas street lights. Bulleit 3D Printed Frontier Lounge

During the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, guests sipped three-dimensional printed cocktails at the Bulleit 3D Printed Frontier Lounge, which was open April 24 to 26 at Studio 525. A robotic arm injected droplets of edible oil that formed a set pattern like a dot matrix spiral; the shapes could jiggle in the drink but kept their shape.
