Bronson's Singing and Dancing Birthday Show

We usually concern ourselves only with corporate and nonprofit events, but we couldn't help noticing some reports from event designer Bronson van Wyck's birthday party this past Saturday night at Element. We knew he was a talented designer (his work for the Friends of the High Line won our award for Best Overall Event Decor last year), but we didn't know the extent of his talents.

According to David Patrick Columbia's New York Social Diary, the requested dress on the invitation was "Foxy F**king Fabulous Mac Daddy Disco Ho," which proved inspiring for the guest list of fashion industry and social swells. But the evening's big moment came when van Wyck himself took the stage in a long white military coat and headset with a team of background dancers to perform Madonna's "Holiday" near his initials, "BvW," in blue neon.

Columbia's take: "The number included all kinds of militaristic terpsichorean exercises including the boys (and two girl backup singers) changing jackets—fatigues, cadets, and then taking them off, stripping down to bare pneumatic breasts and the...skivvies?...and our-star-for-the-night Bronson finally shedding the greatcoat, revealing this highly buffed dear (still not really so old) Yalie in white tank and glistening white trousers and more dancing." Um, wow.

According to The Daily, the shenanigans also included Coco Kopelman—wife of Chanel's Arie—doing an accidental Jell-O shot. Both sites, we should point out, have photos.
