Inside the Grammy Parties: Midnight Brunch at the New W, Black Eyed Peas at the Palladium, MusiCares\' Neil Young Honors

Come Sunday night, the Grammy Awards would garner big ratings from the Staples Center stage. But days ahead of the ceremony—not to mention late into the night afterward—a slate of performance-packed, celebrity-heavy related events, both official and unofficial, took over town. Here's a look inside six of them.

Insomniac Events and Grassroots Productions produced the Dipdive event, which gave the Palladium an unusual look, with cabana-style seating groupings. Bacardi also set up a V.I.P. lounge upstairs.

On January 28, Gillette Uncut—a documentary short film series that shows the backstage lives of Will.i.am, Tim McGraw, Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and the All-American Rejects featuring Tyson Ritter, directed by Danny Clinch—launched at the Grammy Museum. After the world premiere screening of the films, Clinch and the movies' subjects were available for a Q&A session.

On January 29, the laid-back 'Friends and Family' industry party took to the Studios at Paramount, with performances by Estelle and George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars. Evolutionary Media Group, AAM, BMF Media, Paramount Rocks, and Rebel Industries produced the event, which had lighting by Ultimate Lighting and sound by Sound Factory LA.

Beginning at 11 p.m. on January 30, Compound Entertainment and OK magazine hosted 500 guests at the third annual 'Midnight Grammy Brunch'—intended to be the next stop for guests departing Clive Davis's annual event. Precision Event Group produced, designed, and managed the party, the first private evening function at the new W Hollywood.
