August 2, 2013: See Sean Parker's Lavish Wedding, Scalpers Target Popular Beer Fest, Google's Geek Fair

1. VANITY FAIR HAS PHOTOS OF SEAN PARKER'S LAVISH WEDDING: New photos allow a glimpse into the multimillion-dollar California wedding of Internet mogul Sean Parker, which drew criticism because it was held in an environmentally sensitive area without the proper permits. Vanity Fair has photos of the Preston Bailey-designed event, "which included Tolkien-ized costumes for all 364 guests by Lord of the Rings costume designer Ngila Dickson." http://vnty.fr/12L423Q

2. SCALPERS TARGET POPULAR BEER FEST: Tickets to the Great American Beer Festival sold out in 20 minutes, a record for the annual event in Denver. Now the beer fest, which draws 49,000 people, is facing something usually reserved for the hottest concerts and sporting events: scalpers. Organizers responded to the issue on Facebook, noting, "There are measures in place to decrease access for scalpers, including ticket limits we set for GABF ticket purchases (enforced by Ticketmaster), and Ticketmaster’s anti-bot and other security measures. Does this prevent scalper access? No, but it does decrease it. We will continue to evaluate options and solutions going forward." Huffington Post: http://huff.to/13AD6OS

3. GOOGLE HOSTS GEEK FAIR: Google put a spin on the classic street fair with its "Geek Street Fair" in New York Wednesday, promoting the sciences and technology to children. New York Times: "There were Lego robots, virtual games, and speed Rubik’s 'cubers' who could solve one of the world’s most popular puzzles in very short order." http://nyti.ms/137iZba
