ResponseWare, a new polling application by Turning Technologies, lets meeting attendees respond to questions via their iPhones or iPod Touches. The application, available as a free download at the Apple Store, works with single response, multiple response, and fill-in-the-blank questions, as well as questions that require a more lengthy written answer. Once participants have responded, the program immediately stores the data for later evaluation and transfers it to a larger overhead screen so everyone can see the results. Attendees logged into an interactive session can also review previous polls and instant message the speaker or meeting leader with questions and feedback. For those who want to participate but don't have an iPhone, Turning Technologies offers its ResponseCard clicker, which is wireless and works with the main platform or desktop. Rental prices start at $150, which includes 24 devices for one month.
