This summer BizBash and Eventbrite will host Elevate, a hands-on learning lab for event and meeting professionals. Scheduled for July 24 at the New York Law School, the one-day conference and workshop will explore all aspects of events, from sponsorships and budgeting to social media and technology. Elevate is designed to connect marketers and planners around the power of live events and will include keynotes, three different one-hour workshops, and networking opportunities.

Speakers at Elevate's morning general session will include Saya Hillman of Mac 'n Cheese Productions, who will discuss the importance of "living a life of yes," and Eventbrite president Julia Hartz on her company's "make it happen" philosophy. Social media expert Gary Vaynerchuk will be the keynote and share insights on the intersection of social media and events as well as how to improve social media skills, tactics, and strategy.

At the luncheon, BizBash executive editor Anna Sekula will sit down with David Stark for a Q&A about the inspiration behind some of the event designer's most celebrated work. Stark, who published his latest book David Stark: The Art of the Party earlier this month, will talk about his creative process, how he develops ideas with his team, and how they execute imaginative designs for some of the biggest brands and events.

In the morning, workshops will focus on three different areas: how to optimize marketing with data and analytics; strategies and tactics on how to deliver more value to event sponsors; and event fund-raising in a digital world. The afternoon workshops will cover social media and the future of event marketing; how technology is changing the ecosystem of events; and event trends, management, and emergency preparedness.

The day will end with a fireside chat between BizBash and Eventbrite C.E.O.s David Adler and Kevin Hartz, respectively.

Registration for Elevate is open now; attendees can register at bizbash.com/elevate.
