For YM's party to celebrate its MTV issue, the magazine's staff created a literal take on the "bubblegum pop" idea. The invitations came in static shield bags--the hottest envelope alternative right now--stuffed with bubblegum ordered directly from gum manufacturer Dubble Bubble. (The magazine ordered 30,000 pieces directly from the company, but Dubble Bubble won't usually sell this way.)
The issue's cover features the manufactured-on-television boy band O-Town, and the invitations included a baseball card-sized card showing the cover on one side and the party's details on the other. The bags--which are usually used for computer equipment--were ordered from Uline Shipping Supply Specialists.
