The latest edition of the massively popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is rapidly approaching, and with it will come the usual wealth of inspiration for boho-chic attire, '70s-inspired decor, and colorful floral designs.
But you don't need to be in the desert to incorporate this inspiration into events. From stylish teepees and crystal cookies to flower-covered cakes and vision board activities, here's how to add a casual, quirky, bohemian vibe to your events this spring.
The EventWork's Influencer Dinner

Last summer, the EventWork, a digital community and marketplace for event-industry freelancers, celebrated the launch of its new app with an influencer dinner in Mar Vista, California. The elegant outdoor event had a blush and gray color scheme, with white tents, dream catchers, and rustic wooden furniture.

Instead of a standard table runner, Contemporary Catering provided 24 feet of hand-selected cheese, charcuterie, seasonal fruits, and vegetables. Borrowed Blu handled tabletop rentals.

Rolling Greens on Mateo Opening Party

Los Angeles's Rolling Greens on Mateo, a nursery and furniture showroom with a 25,000-square-foot event space, hosted a two-day launch event in November. Guests could attend a pumpkin succulent workshop in the venue's signature Arrangement Bar.

Agnes & Dora Convention

To liven up clothing brand Agnes & Dora's annual convention, held in Salt Lake City in July 2017, producer Geffen Events chose a modern Woodstock vibe. Patterned rugs, eclectic throw pillows, and crystals as decor evoked the brand's bohemian style; additional details included giant dreamcatchers, henna tattoos, D.I.Y. floral crowns, and palm readings.

Maison St-Germain Opening Party

Elderflower French liqueur St-Germain and landscape artist Lily Kwong celebrated the summer solstice by creating a floral installation, which debuted in June 2017 in New York. As part of the installation, Kwong designed a canopy of fresh flora and fauna.

Sterling Social teamed up with beauty salon Blushington to host a Sip & Shop event in Los Angeles in February. Quench Staffing's new Quench Wellness division offered tarot card love readings.

Glamchella

In May 2015 in Miami, Adrienne Bosh (wife of basketball star Chris Bosh) hosted a motivational event with decor inspired by Coachella. Jackie Ohh Events designed the space with glittering teepees, ornate floor pillows, Buddha statues, and bright, lush floral arrangements.

Take Time to Toast

Danielle Gibson Events hosted its Take Time to Toast event in Sonoma Country, California, in October. The event, which celebrated women entrepreneurs, featured a wall covered in floral garlands and inspiring messages.

In another area, Soulflower Design Studio created a circular seating area inspired by the mandala symbol of Hinduism and Buddhism. A projected background scene displayed changing images of a tranquil lake and mountain setting.
