Guests who were invited to attend this intimate 30th anniversary event in New York were surrounded by a deep emerald green hue thanks to Birch Event Design. 'We were inspired to create a velvety jewelry box in which the table would be our diamond,' said Josh Spiegel, president and creative director at Birch Event Design, who didn't shy away from using the color from floor to ceiling for this event. 'We used emerald green for a rich and deep mood, and made sure it was the fabric of the entire evening.'

Hearst and eBay called upon 360 Design Events to outfit this event, held within New York's Hearst Tower lobby, with a green-hued gallery of eco-friendly eBay items. '360 Design Events envisioned stylish, contrasting colors of green, which were used as a background to display the eBay items. The bold use of multiple shades of green became an attention-getting exhibit in the calm neutrals of the building architecture,' said 360 Design Events managing director Karla Crespo. The production team also partook in the event's theme of sustainability when it came to the design materials they used: 'The walls were made of hollow panel doors, which were later donated to Rebuilding Together NYC, which repairs homes and revitalizes communities in the area. The fabric that was used to wrap the walls was later donated to Materials for the Arts that recycled gently used or over-ordered materials.'

Chicago Gateway Green, which has a mission to bring green spaces to the city of Chicago, hosted its 2018 Green Tie Ball at The Geraghty, where BlackOak Technical Productions and Kehoe Designs collaborated on the Green Eggs & Glam-theme benefit, incorporating green furnishings, pillows, lighting, and more. 'With one of the primary components of the event being food, the use of the evening’s key green lighting had to be very strategic,' said BlackOak Technical Productions senior producer Meredith Francsis. 'Uplighting of moving light textures and overhead lighting was used to surround the guests in a green glow, while pin spotting in warm white was used on the food stations to make sure that the food was shown in all its delicious glory.'

Revel Decor brought out all the green stops (and metallic accents) for the 2019 Chicago Summer Festival. 'Choosing a variety of coordinating shades makes a color scheme more exciting,' said Revel Decor event producer Marissa Moore. 'Incorporating pieces that lean more blue or yellow make greens pop. Playing with wood tones, neutral material, and fresh foliages add that additional layer of texture the space needs.'

Fairmont Chicago was draped in shades of green via live plants and colored furnishings for the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year event, where Kehoe Designs helmed the event's design. Running with a Greenery theme—Pantone's then-color of the year—the event design team incorporated appropriately colored products from the client's product line, such as green mop heads, which were used to form the oversize, makeshift weeping willow trees. 'Working with sister company Floral Exhibits, the event producers were able to make it appear as if living plants were growing right out of the tables themselves,' said Joey Berman, senior event producer at Kehoe Designs.
