VENUE: Empire Offers Taste and Technology

The Empire, a two-storey eatery that opened September 2, offers two quite different event spaces. The main floor features a well-lit, open-concept design, complete with a high-definition projection screen. Upstairs, a room of private booths with chairs made from pleated white ostrich leather can accommodate 97 seated guests. Each booth comes with a seven-inch LCD screen with independent controls. The two spaces combine to accommodate 256 guests. Executive chef Adam Foley has created a menu that combines bistro fare with comfort food.—Robyn Small
