Skylounge, part of InterContinental Hotel Toronto, is a new outdoor dining spot in fashionable Yorkville. Though the name lends itself to a rooftop patio, Skylounge actually sits on terra firma: the patio space, which can hold more than 90 seated guests, is nestled in the hotel?s courtyard. Cecconi and Simone designed the decor, which includes Brazilian wood tables, silk pillows, and oversize umbrellas mixed with Philippe Starck furniture. On chilly nights, the staff hands out complimentary alpaca throws. Skylounge opened in June. —Robyn Small
