Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan has opened a new Queen St. West bar with a cinematic twistโthe back room is a digital screening venue for independent film. Camera's bar has a standing capacity of 95, while the theatre, which features a 6- by 8-foot screen and Optoma H56 projector, has stadium-style seating for 50. Films shown in the theatre can be displayed simultaneously on the bar's audiovisual system. The food prep area comprises 400 square feet; outside caterers are welcome. The cost to rent the entire space any night for four hours with two staff members starts at $700. For large receptions, Camera can be opened to the adjacent Stephen Bulger Gallery, expanding the standing capacity to 140. โRobyn Small
