The Cadillac is getting a new look.

Cadillac Lounge owner Sam Grosso is planning to launch a new event space at the popular Parkdale hangout this summer. The expansion will almost double the size of the Queen Street West restaurant and bar—known for its live music—when the addition opens in mid-June.
The bar currently holds as many as 90 people, with the back patio seating 250 in the warmer months. The new space at the venue, which will enable the lounge to offer private bookings for the first time, will hold an additional 80 people and will retain the look and feel of the original bar. “It’s very Elvis. It’s very Johnny Cash,” publicist Lia Lyons said of the space. "It’s a place that’s very much about nostalgia. It’s a very comfortable atmosphere.”
The exterior of the building—hard to miss thanks to the big white Cadillac hanging outside—will also be refurbished during the renovations.
