Eight Wine Bar

The Cosmopolitan Hotel celebrated the official opening of its latest addition, Eight Wine Bar, on Thursday night. The narrow restaurant (formerly Doku 15) is divided into a front bar area and a back dining room, and seats 100. Wine bottles are stored in a glass wall, giving the space the feel of a wine cellar with high ceilings and concrete walls. Decor features include a long marble bar and hanging glass lights with splashes of red and gold. Executive chef Derek Kennedy serves comfort food such as duck shepherd's pie and oxtail ravioli matched with wines chosen by sommelier Zoltan Szabo. A cozy second-level private dining room seats 15. Eight Wine Bar is available for private bookings.
