A St. Augustine property, Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village was recently awarded the One Palm rating by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and inducted into the Florida Green Lodging Program. The resort received the initial Palm rating-one out of three-to honor its inception and recognize its adherence to the initiatives fostered by the green program including water conservation, waste reduction, and energy efficiency. These are espoused to guests and staff across the property and reflect a growing trend of hotels going green.
In addition, to stem the tide of increasing gas prices, the resort is offering a new gas incentive program. The Renaissance Resort Gas Card Package, available during July for Florida and Georgia residents, offers room rates starting at $124 per night plus a $25 Shell gas card for guests staying two nights, or a $50 card for three-night reservations. Groups requiring 10 rooms or more will not be able to participate.
