1. FASHION'S NIGHT IN: Fashion's Night Out, the Vogue-sponsored night celebrating fashion (and free cocktails), will not happen this year in the United States. The event will continue at several international cities. Women's Wear Daily: "While it was debatable whether FNO actually brought in additional sales for participating retailers, it was viewed more as a 'big party' or 'street festival,' and a chance to get people into stores and expose them to the latest fall fashions. … Over the past four years, designers and retailers found that they have had to invest more and more of their resources to maintain a high level of quality, and there unquestionably was some backlash." http://wwd.us/XgynB8

2. OVER-THE-TOP H&M SHOW: The retailer presented a runway show for the first time in eight years at Paris Fashion Week. New York Times: "Guests entering the show Wednesday night walked along a candle-lit pathway to an enormous tent that had been decorated like a fantasy apartment, with more than 15 small rooms where editors were seated on couches, beds, marble slabs, and at gilded wicker seats around a dining table. Each room was decorated in a different style, including a Moroccan lounge, an Art Deco sitting room, a marble bathroom, and a kids’ bedroom with an outer space motif." http://nyti.ms/13ZQZ9f

3. SNEAK PEEK AT GOOGLE HQ: Check out the new California campus for Google. Mashable: "A watercolor drawing created by the architects at nbbj shows off Google’s plans for the building, which include a place to jog, bike, and ride scooters—all on the roof. Rooftop yoga is also an option at the new headquarters, as is working outdoors in one of the company’s numerous outdoor seating areas. Want to spend the night? The artist’s rendering also shows some pitched tents on the roof, presumably where Googlers could take a little siesta." http://on.mash.to/YxzVGj
