A 148-room boutique property in Boston's Kenmore Square, Hotel Commonwealth recently expanded its private event capacity with the Gallery, a ground-floor event space that opened in January.
A bright, airy venue featuring light colors, hardwood floors, and views of Kenmore Street, the 1,700-square-foot space offers an open floor plan of four interconnected rooms—three smaller rooms all leading into one larger room—with a total seating capacity of 50. The rooms can be set up for cocktail receptions, dinners or meetings, and include a private off-street entrance from Commonwealth Avenue.
Full audiovisual setup is available, as well as catering from the adjacent Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks, which itself features several private dining rooms and lounges that can be booked for events. Hotel Commonwealth also offers the 3,300-square-foot Foundation Lounge as well as six meeting rooms and prefunction space on the hotel's second floor that hold as many as 300.
