Set to open this week in Faneuil Hall, Mija Cantina and Tequila Bar offers lobster-jalapeno tacos, chili-and-beef burritos, and 150 types of its namesake liquor. Available for buyout, the venue can seat around 240. Smaller spaces can also be sectioned off to host semiprivate events.
The main dining room seats 140. The patio, which can be rented on its own, offers seating for an additional 70. During summer, the windows between the two spaces open to create the feel of one continuous space.
Boston-based firm Sousa Design Architects gave the restaurant a sleek but rustic look replete with candlabras, lanterns, and white leather furniture.
