Here's a closer look at Denver's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms and other spaces available for events this spring. The new and renovated Denver venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings and more.

A note regarding COVID-19: At BizBash, we're still committed to bringing you ideas and inspiration for when (yes, when!) events are back up and running. Some of the venues listed here may not yet be available for hosting events due to the pandemic, or they may be operating at a lower capacity.

Evolve at MileHi
Evolve at MileHi
Joining the $300 million revitalization of Sun Valley, one of Denver’s newest up-and-coming neighborhoods, Evolve at MileHi is an event center and commercial commissary space. Located five blocks south of Empower Field (home to the Denver Broncos), Evolve MileHi opened in October and features 2,500 square feet indoors and 1,000 square feet of outdoor space with a retractable roof. In addition to hosting as many as 125 guests for seated or cocktail-style affairs, there’s a 2,000-square-foot demo kitchen for culinary-forward presentations and events, several dedicated bar areas, two wedding suites, free parking and a Range Rover for day-of use. From weddings to charity events to movie nights, prime-time venue buyouts are priced at $3,500, while weekday and nonprofit pricing is reduced to $2,000.

Industrial-meets-rustic Upper Larimer opened its garage door in November. As many as 340 guests are invited to private events, corporate meetings, galas and conferences in its 6,028-square-foot quarters. Perdida
Perdida
Gabled ceilings with skylights and surfboard-clad walls illuminate Perdida, a new vibrant, sunlit coastal Mexican eatery, which debuted in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood in February. With a menu crafted to model an exploratory trip down the Baja coast, the fare is cooked over a wood fire that sits visibly to guests behind the expansive 30-seat bar area, which is complete with cowhide barstools. Parties of 220 can buy out the entire 3,345-square-foot restaurant for $10,000 to $20,000. Additionally, guests can reserve the patio (seats 50), drifter den (seats 60) or front patio (seats 30) for a lower price tag ranging from $1,000 to $6,000. To round out the vibe, a stunning mural from Lindee Zimmer leads guests to a spacious alfresco patio with a refurbished Volkswagen van that welcomes four to six diners and imbibers.

Number Thirty Eight
Number Thirty Eight
Named in honor of Colorado as the 38th state to enter the union, Number Thirty Eight debuted in the RiNo neighborhood in October. Designed to accommodate concerts, corporate events, engagement parties and fundraisers, the venue uniquely represents the Centennial State’s history. Boasting 31,250 square feet, Number Thirty Eight is home to Denver’s largest outdoor patio and stage and can host as many as 1,200. Head chef Merlin Verrier—formerly the culinary director of Lollapalooza—helms the catering (think tacos, pizza, bao buns and ramen), while beverages are sourced only from local breweries, distilleries, wineries and cideries. Plus, there are two volleyball courts that lend to the outdoor bar and deck at what’s been nicknamed “Colorado’s Social Frontier.”

Kinship Landing
Kinship Landing
Kinship Landing, a new event-friendly boutique hotel, debuted this month in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado Springs, which tapped its local creative community to design and accent the property. While private events are welcome on-premise, those interested can rent out the entire hotel and all of its meeting spaces for groups ranging from 80 to 120 people for $8,000 to $20,000 per night. Event spaces include The Greenhaus, which is 1,000 square feet and can seat 60 or 80 standing, and goes for $150 per hour.

Kiln (Boulder)
Kiln (Boulder)
Unique Boulder co-working venue Kiln was crafted by repurposing an old retail space and combining seven prior buildings, which included studios, a warehouse and a 1950s storefront. The result is a single, cohesive 22,000-square-foot space that premiered in October. Property owner John Reynolds saw an opportunity to honor the “bones” of the building through his collaboration with Kiln, which features four conference rooms that can host six to 12 guests and an in-house theater for as many as 50. The two-year project was a joint effort between Kiln co-founder and creative director Leigh Radford, Boulder-based architectural firm Arc11, principal architects James Trewitt and E.J. Meade and Duggan Construction.

Notable features include a gallery of local art, an indoor lounge area and a full kitchen with a roll-up door that opens up to the private, fenced-in 2,500-square-foot outdoor area. ColorUp can accommodate groups of as many as 25 indoors and as many as 100 outdoors, with complete buyouts estimated at $1,000 for the day.

The Establishment at Bradburn Village
The Establishment at Bradburn Village
Year-round, family owned event venue The Establishment at Bradburn Village debuted in November in the Bradburn Village neighborhood of Westminster. The expansive property is comprised of two gray-hued ballrooms (totaling 3,552 and 1,750 square feet, respectively), as well as a lounge (969 square feet), boardroom (640 square feet), terrace and foyer. The entire venue can accommodate as many as 520 guests. Stunning chandeliers and elegant sconces light the venue with a glamorously romantic feel, and renters have access to indoor tech equipment including a drop-down screen, projector, surround sound, AppleTV and more. From weddings to nonprofit events, full venue buyouts are required Friday through Sunday, and prices range from $5,500 to $7,500 for 10 hours. Weekday rentals begin at $200 per hour for a minimum rental of two hours.

Forget Me Not
Forget Me Not
A vintage chandelier hangs over the horseshoe-shaped bar at 2,400-square-foot cocktail bar Forget Me Not, which opened this month at Cherry Creek North from the Culinary Creative team. Its namesake is inspired by the location’s former long-time tenants: a local flower shop. The floral theme is carried through the seasonal cocktail menu, which features infusions of flowers, wood, bark and spices. “In creating a menu that evokes the ethos and grace of a flower shop, I was inspired by the feminine and alluring nature of this space,” says Nicole Lebedevitch, operations partner and beverage director. “It’s an energetic and lively place to make new memories and, of course, forget a few along the way.”
