Take a peek at these buzz-worthy restaurants, hotels, meeting and event spaces and more recently opened in Denver.

Here's a closer look at Denver's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms and other spaces available for events this summer. The new and renovated Denver venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings and more.

A note regarding COVID-19: Some of the venues listed here may not yet be available for hosting events due to COVID-19, or they may be operating at a lower capacity. As venues begin to slowly reopen across North America, we encourage event organizers to contact the venues to verify current capacity restrictions.

Catbird Hotel
Catbird Hotel
Debuting in RiNo in July, the independent Catbird Hotel will sport a welcoming, homey ambiance in the city’s hippest area. An all-sensory base camp for unique experiences, the hotel’s muse is the vibrance of its creative surroundings. There are four different spaces carved out for meetings and events. The Rooftop Deck (3,000 square feet with capacity for up to 222 reception style) features 360-degree downtown Denver views, The Red Barber restaurant with off-the-grill cuisine and an engaging space for small- and large-scale gatherings—there’s a small amphitheater, lawn space and hot tubs. Klee House is a 2,380-square-foot historic home built in 1890 ideal for private events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, bridal and groom suites or a unique group retreat. Still, there are two meeting spaces, the Media Room, which can host 12 in a conference setting and the Annex House, with an occupancy of 35 conference style. Pricing is available upon request for partial and full buyout rates.

In May, Cherry Creek welcomed Clayton Members Club & Hotel. Members and visitors alike can enjoy elevated dining helmed by chef Brandon Duley’s Mediterranean-meets-California influences. There’s 3,200 square feet of meeting and event space available for corporate and team-building events, weddings and galas, including the eight-guest Griffith Boardroom (buyouts begin at $500 with a negotiated food and beverage minimum) and the 2,000-square-foot Margaret Ballroom (pictured here), which can host conferences of as many as 60 attendees and receptions of as many as 250 guests; this largest meeting space also features eight skylights offering tons of natural light for daytime events.

Marijuana Mansion
Marijuana Mansion
John J. Huddart originally constructed this manse in 1889, outfitted in Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival influences and distinguished ornate sandstone carvings. As of June, the Marijuana Mansion is downtown Denver’s newest 4,200-square-foot event space. Standout interior elements include turn-of-the-century rooms like the Vintage Pot Parlor, the Ladies Boudoir and the Secret Poker Speakeasy. Guests of private corporate meetings and events, photo shoots, weddings, galas, award receptions and networking events, as well as birthdays and bachelor/bachelorette parties, can revel in trippy, new-age installations designed by local female artists Ellie Paisley, A.L. Grimes and Shannon Barber. Buyout pricing ranges from $200 to $400 per hour, depending on date and time. While there’s no fresh “greenery” available on-site, there’s a dispensary within walking distance.

Sky Deck at Marjorie Park

Owned and operated by the Museum of Outdoor Arts, June welcomed the reopening of Marjorie Park to the north side of Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in the Greenwood Plaza Business Development. Following a two-year renovation, the sculpture-clad park and event venue now features 40 artworks, including a life-size bronze series of Alice in Wonderland sculptures, kinetic art, a labyrinth-like hardscape and more. With 3 acres of total square footage available, the park has room for 3,000 guests and a capacity of 1,500 seated. The venue, which rents for $5,000 per day, can cater to private and corporate gatherings, weddings and galas and other outdoor event settings. On-site amenities range from green rooms to catering areas to restrooms to stage areas. Plus, there’s a Skydeck overlooking the park for bar and catering stations or additional activities. Day-to-night events are treated to a picturesque sunset with Rocky Mountain views.

Social Capitol
Social Capitol
Forty-year-old Footers Catering recently relocated its North Denver headquarters to Social Capitol in Arvada and reopened its doors in April. With more than 12,000 square feet of event space in four different areas (Capitol Hill, Social Mezzanine, Interactive Kitchen and Welcome Room), the venue encourages events of all sizes (from 30 seated in the Interactive Kitchen to 800 cocktail style in Capitol Hill). Notable design elements include a 30-foot ceiling, a 26-foot patina copper built-in bar, a VIP area and six movable walls. Weekday/daytime rentals range from $2,000 to $3,000, while weekend/nighttime rentals are priced from $6,500 to $8,500. With customizable food and beverage menus available—including innovative specialty cocktail service—the property invites various affairs for booking, from luncheons and galas to weddings and intimate chef’s dinners, and everything in between.

How This Denver Catering Company Celebrated 50 Years
Occasions Catering in Denver celebrated its golden anniversary with solid gold dancers, liquid handblown candy, and an ATM dessert machine. It harkens back to a golden era B.C. (Before Coronavirus)—one month ago.
Party Poppers outfitted the event's venue, Asterisk, with white, silver, gold, and metallic balloons as a nod to the 'golden years of the future' theme.
