In September 2008, the team behind Tao Las Vegas opened Lavo, a restaurant and nightspot at the Palazzo. The AvroKo-designed space is inspired by ancient Mediterranean bathhouse culture and includes a glass-and-wood bridge, stone and Grecian tile walls, water-stained plaster, and 20-foot ceilings. The nightclub features vaulted arches and a domed ceiling. The space holds 1,400 in all, with room for 180 seated in the main dining room, 20 in a private dining room, and 100 on a patio.
