Whether they're by the pool or amid million-dollar sports cars, big tables are the latest fixture in town. Here are three.

1.  After closing Simon at the Hard Rock Hotel, celebrity chef Kerry Simon and Elizabeth Blau debuted Simon at Palms Place in May 2008. Designed by the Rockwell Group, the space, which overlooks a pool, is eco-friendly with its use of bamboo and stone. A table for 10 sits in front of a wall filled with potted herbs that the chefs harvest for the modern American menu.

2. Although most of the tables at the contemporary Zine Noodles Dim Sum, which opened in January 2008 at the Palazzo resort are traditional booths and banquettes, a semi-enclosed room has a table that seats 11. Everything from siu mai to spring rolls to barbecue pork buns comes in waves, and guests can turn the lazy Susans for easier access to the various dishes and sauces.

3. Sports-car fanatics are sure to find something their speed at the upscale Italian restaurant Dal Toro, which also opened at the Palazzo in June 2008. The 300-seat restaurant features an exclusive display of exotic sports cars from Bugatti, Ferrari, Saleen, McLaren, and Lamborghini, the last of which has an adjacent dealership. There’s a glass-encased wine cellar room that seats eight, and a chefs table seats 24 with views into the kitchen.
