As we enter the thick of the corporate holiday party season, here are some ideas and resources to keep a group entertained, fed, and rewarded.
1. For a memorable holiday outing, take a group to Ethel M’s Chocolate Factory in Henderson, 20 minutes from the Strip. The large botanical cactus garden and pathways are illuminated at night with 500,000 holiday lights, and tours are available of the renowned chocolate factory, where guests can see how the chocolates are hand crafted—plus scoop up some samples.
2. For a daytime celebration, take a group aboard a brunch cruise at MonteLago Village Resort at Lake Las Vegas. The La Contessa yacht tours Lake Las Vegas through December 31, with brunch items including Denver scrambled eggs, assorted muffins, artichoke chicken, and vegetable lasagna, plus desserts.
3-5. Try one of these three holiday-themed shows: Twisted Sister: A Twisted Christmas takes to the Las Vegas Hilton this December, with Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie Ojeda, Mark “The Animal” Mendoza, and A.J. Pero performing their hits along with holiday favorites from their Christmas album. Discount ticketing is available for groups of 10 or more. Also this December, A Very Scinta Christmas takes to the Suncoast. The show includes singing, comedy, and impersonations by brothers Joey and Frankie Scinta, sister Chrissi Scinta, and Peter O’Donnell. Mannheim Steamroller’s 2009 Christmas tour is coming to the Orleans Arena. An elite group of violinists, guitarists, pianists, drummers, and woodwind players perform together under the direction of Grammy award-winner Chip Davis.
6. For in-office cheer, the Cupcakery is offering 16 flavors, including peppermint bliss, gingerbread chick, and Mimi's pumpkin. Local delivery is available and specialty orders, including themes and corporate logos, can be ordered with advance notice. Cupcakes cost $32 per dozen, but as a budget-friendly bonus, the Cupcakery is offering one complimentary cupcake in exchange for donating one new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. The offer is available through the holidays.
7. For a relaxing holiday reward or gift, treat a group to a spa treatment at Aquae Sulis Spa at the JW Marriott. Beginning December 2, the venue is offering an assortment of treatments using berries: body treatments ($170), facials ($140), manicures and pedicures ($60 & $100), and body scrubs ($70) are all on the menu.
