Here's a kitschy entertaining idea: The new Revolver Saloon & Dance Hall opened this month at the Santa Fe Station with room for 650 people.
Available for buyouts, the 10,000-square-foot venue was designed by interior architect Mark Tracy of Chemical Spaces, who worked a hillbilly motif with deadwood trees, 30-foot-wide murals, and hundreds of smaller images of John Wayne, Johnny Cash, and women in chaps. There's also a mechanical bull, a 180-pound mirrored armadillo disco ball, and several plasma-screen TVs throughout.
Revolver has two bar areas and serves specialty cocktails such as the Beergarita (a blend of beer and margarita) and the Reverse Cowboy (Absolut Citron, amaretto, sour mix, and Sierra Mist).
The saloon also offers mini-keg table service and Pabst Blue Ribbon in a brown paper bag. There are four V.I.P. booths with seating for as many as 40 people. Additional seating is available at tables surrounding the dance floor.
