Just because all of the announced Garth Brooks concert dates at the Encore Theater at Wynn are sold out doesn't mean you can't treat a group or special client to a buzz-worthy Vegas show. Try these four other entertaining options.
1. The Jabbawockeez are bringing a 20-day run of theatrical performances that blend dance and storytelling. Fresh off their tour with New Kids On the Block and Jesse McCartney, the dance crew has created a new, exclusive 90-minute set for this show, MÜS.I.C., which will take to the Hollywood Theatre at MGM Grand May 7 through 26 at 9:30 p.m. nightly. Tickets are priced at $49 and $59, not including service charges and taxes.
2. After a long, stressful day at the convention center or in the boardroom, sometimes a good laugh is in order. Playboy Comedy shows take place inside the lounge at the Palms Casino Resort. Upcoming acts include Reno 911 and Chelsea Lately's Natasha Leggero, Australian comedian Jim Jefferies, and Madtv's Bryan Callen. Ticket prices are $39.99, which includes taxes and entry into the Playboy Club following the show.
3. In March, Barry Manilow opened a new resident show at the 1,500-seat Théâtre at Paris Las Vegas with a reimagined stage show with new elements like video components. Manilow is slated to perform 78 shows annually for two years at Paris Las Vegas, produced by A.E.G. Live in conjunction with Paris. Tickets are on sale for performances through July 18, with "Platinum Experience" packages including a front-row seat, pre-show champagne reception, meet and greet and photo with Manilow, and autographed show program for $1,000; proceeds go to the nonprofit Manilow Music Project. Ordinary ticket prices are $250, $175, $125, and $95.
4. For something a bit more risqué—perhaps for an all-male crowd—Peepshow returned to Planet Hollywood on March 1, with Holly Madison back in her starring role as Bo Peep, along with talent from film, TV, and Broadway. The show combines striptease and celebrity gawking with high-level production values, created by Tony award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell and produced by BASE Entertainment. Group rates are available for 10 or more.
