Spring Roll Chefs and Weekly DJs Entertain Kitchen Guests

Following its popularity in Hollywood, Florida, Michael's Kitchen will open a 3,118-square-foot second location this November in Sunny Isles Beach. Replacing the former Newport Pub, executive chef Michael Blum agreed to open the facility inside the Newport Beachside Resort with 165 restaurant seats, 15 bar seats, and 10 open kitchen seats. The menu will continue to offer some of its usual dishes, such as popcorn shrimp that comes fried and tossed with buttery popcorn, chimichurri skirt steak wrapped around grilled corn on the cob and served with savory yucca fries, and deep-dish Rice Krispies Treat pizza, all of which will be served with grandiose presentation and creative plating techniques. The restaurant's interior, designed by Acropolis Design, aims to complement Blum's unique approach to dining with an atmosphere set to redefine the traditional dinner and glass of wine. It is slated to feature a stand-alone ice bar room, which will be kept at chilled temperatures, for guests to enjoy some of Michael's signature cocktails. On days when the restaurant is open after hours, a spring roll chef will take center stage. A weekly DJ set rounds out this hip atmosphere. Buyouts and corporate meetings are available within the 804-square-foot back section.
