Brosia Closes, 8 Oz. Burger Bar Opens Second Location

Brosia, a Mediterranean restaurant in the Design District owned by the Dacra Development Group, has closed. The primarily outdoor eatery, recognizable by its expansive mosaic tile wall, has been sold to an unnamed buyer who will turn the space into another food and beverage establishment projected to open later this summer. Final details on the new eatery have not been set.

Table 8 executive chef and 8 Oz. Alton Road co-proprietor Govind Armstrong expanded his 8 Oz. chain with partners Josh Woodward and Eric Fried, opening a second Miami Beach location at the Z Ocean Hotel South Beach last week. (The first location opened in February.) The burger bar took over the space formerly home to sushi spot Zushi Flirt, just inside the hotel’s main restaurant, Table 8.
