A photo studio can often provide great raw space for an event, and we found a brand-new studio near Union Square. Capsule Studio is a newly renovated space with six phone lines, a professional-quality sound system and a DSL Internet connection. With 2,500 square feet, it isn't that large, but the clean, modern-looking space can host a sit-down event for 100 people or a cocktail-style party for approximately 200. Other features include a 500-square-foot mezzanine constructed with steel beams, and seven 11-by-4-foot windows.
