Robert De Niro: Actor, Restaurateur...Hotelier?

Robert De Niro seems to be turning TriBeCa into his personal real estate development project. Not content with restaurants (Tribeca Grill, Tribakery), theater (Tribeca Film Center), his production office (Tribeca Productions) and even his home, the Oscar-winning actor is eyeing 377 Greenwich Street as the site for a possible hotel, according to The New York Observer. Alleged talks with hotelier Richard Born (of the Chambers, Elysee, Stanhope and Mercer hotels) are underway, although no plans have been finalized.
