GIFT: An American Flag from the Capitol

There is no greater symbol of American patriotism than the American flag, and no timelier gift than an Old Glory that has flown over the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. New York State residents can contact Senator Hillary Clinton's office to request to have a flag flown on a specific date, and then purchase that flag. Request forms are available on Clinton's Web site. (Non-New York residents must contact their respective senators' offices to make requests). Flags are available in cotton or nylon, and come in three sizes: 3 by 5 feet, 4 by 6 feet and 7 by 8 feet. But act fast: Due to an increased demand since the September 11 attacks, processing delays are anticipated. --Jill Musguire
