Venue prices dropping in 2002

In its annual survey of hotels, restaurants, catering facilities and other event locations, Paint the Town Red found that 24 percent of respondents plan to lower prices next year, 68 percent will leave them as they are and 8 percent will raise prices. Overall, prices for 2002 will decrease by three percent, compared to a six percent increase last year. The survey also found that the average lead time for booking corporate events was 2.3 months.
