Time Inc. Cancels Its Holiday Party

Magazine publishing titan Time Inc. has cancelled its traditionally lavish holiday party, according to The New York Times. "We are not going to do big holiday parties and big lunches," said Ann Moore, the company's chief executive. "We are going to try to do things a little differently. We are telling people to go home and be with their families." The company, which recently closed two of its titles, will reportedly save more than $1 million with the decision.
