The intimate and understated Noguchi Museum has reopened its newly renovated galleries and tranquil garden in Long Island City. Dedicated to the work of artist and designer Isamu Noguchi, the museum showcases his clean, modern aesthetic with exhibitions of his abstract sculptures and signature Akari sculptural lamp forms. For even the most jaded visitor, the garden—a peaceful spot dotted with sculptures and imbued with traditional Japanese landscape design—is a place to pause and reflect. —Mark Mavrigian
