In a gushing New York Times review, food critic Frank Bruni gave Masayoshi Takayama’s sushi restaurant Masa four stars—making it the It place to entertain clients (if money is no object, that is—price fixe meals start around $350 per person, depending on the season). Masa is the first Japanese restaurant to receive that rating from the Times since Hatsuhana in 1983.
