And over at the Park Avenue Armory, House & Garden magazine is sponsoring the New York Design Fair, which brings together interior designers and antique dealers through Sunday.
Fashionistas start to wind down as the final day of Fashion Week arrives on Friday and Bryant Park goes to the dogs—well, at least for a presentation of canine couture at Target’s Doggie Fashion Show. Tango magazine—which focuses on relationships—launches with a cocktail party at Bloomingdale’s SoHo store.
Crowds of the curious will rush to Central Park on Saturday for the unfurling of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s massive installation The Gates, up until February 27. The music industry celebrates its own at the big Grammy awards presentation on Sunday at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, with various after-parties following the ceremony.
On Monday, more pups get their place in the limelight as the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show gets under way at Madison Square Garden. The show runs through Tuesday. And at the Waldorf=Astoria, Citizens for New York City bestows its New Yorkers for New York honors, with Liz Smith as the M.C.
