Tonight, the New York City Opera holds its Stephen Sondheim award dinner at the New York State Theater. Elyse Kroll (one of our Event Planners of the Year in 2003), founder and president of fashion trade show firm ENK International, will be honored with the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising’s lifetime achievement award at the Rainbow Room. Tomorrow is Saint Patrick’s Day, and that means a sea of green will flow along Fifth Avenue. Thursday evening, Spamalot opens at the Shubert Theatre, with an after-party at Roseland. Tobak-Dantchik Events & Promotions is producing the event, and Boneau/Bryan-Brown is handling PR.
On Sunday, Macy’s kicks off its annual flower show with the Pet-acular pet fashion show. The Herald Square store will be in full bloom through April 3. The Corporate Travel World expo begins on Monday at the Hilton New York, and continues through Tuesday. And on Tuesday, the New York chapter of Meeting Professionals International takes to B. B. King Blues Club & Grill for its Terry Spinelli auction, this year entitled “A Night of Rhythm and Blues.”
