It’s the middle of August—the pace is slow, and summer is beginning to wane. Tomorrow, the New York International Gift Fair comes to a close at the Javits Center. Also on Thursday, the cast of PBS series This Old House makes a stop at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall to kick off the Meet This Old House nationwide tour. Saturday is the final day of the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at the Bridgehampton Polo Club. And on Sunday, the Ellen’s Run five-kilometer benefit race takes place in East Hampton. Also Sunday, the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival ends. On Monday the Bryant Park Summer Film Festival shows its final movie of the season, Jaws.
